Guest accounts are granted on a case-by-case basis as deemed appropriate by ITU to meet the needs of the university. A sponsoring George Mason University faculty member or Mason employee must submit a Guest account request in writing to the director of ITU - Central & Distributed Systems.

Employees of university contractors are eligible for accounts on a case-by-case basis as necessary to complete work for the university.

Basic Information

Your Mason Cluster account is limited to 20 MB. HTML code is basically a text file and does not take up much space, but pictures (files with extensions .gif and .jpg) DO take up a lot of space.

Instructions on transferring files to your home directory on the mason cluster can be found on the ITU Support webpages and the Student and Faculty technology guides under "How to get/install/use the Secure Shell (including Secure FTP)".
