Directory Request Form
Please fill out this form if you are requesting space on the Mason Web server (www.gmu.edu).
For instructions on where and
how to create a directory for your web page on the Mason Cluster mason.gmu.edu

Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be requesting the space for an officially recognized university academic
unit, administrative unit, student
organization, auxiliary enterprise, or be an official affiliate of Mason.
- You must have a valid Mason E-mail address.
The following do not need to submit this form:
Faculty members wishing to request web space for course or
research should contact one of the following:
- WebCT (which facilitates the creation of
sophisticated World Wide Web-based educational environments).
- Classweb (websites reserved for classes
taught at George Mason University).
For basic information (Unix commands, directory access, file permissions,
etc.) related to the Mason Web Server, please visit Basic
Mason Web Instructions and HTACCESS.
Following the submission of this form, the Mason Webmaster will create the
necessary directory space as well as the appropriate link(s) on the George Mason
University Home Page. You will be notified electronically when your space is ready
for use.
Directory requests will be processed during normal business hours.
This form will not be processed if you are ineligible or if any of the fields
marked with an asterisk are left blank. The Mason Webmaster will review the information
and make any adjustments or additions as necessary. |
