Who will create, design, or develop your web page? If you want to know the process for developing a web page or if you know who will develop the web page, refer to the information below.

No matter who develops your web page, you are responsible for maintaining and updating your pages. You are also responsible for complying with the copyright/privacy and accessibility policies.

Developing the web page yourself
There may be someone on your staff or in your department who is familiar with web page creation and can quickly get your site online. To move ahead with your web page, see the Design It Yourself page.

You may have someone interested in creating a web page, but he or she needs training. You may want to try developing the site yourself. There are many opportunities for training.

Developing the web page with a little help
You may work with the professional design staff of web developers in Web Communications (WebComm) who can assist with the design of your web site. if your site relates to university recruitment, there may be no charge for their services. WebComm staff will work with you to market other activities through your university branded web presence. They charge an hourly rate and can be contacted through their web site or by phone at 703-993-8819.
The development of an elaborate site with several linked pages may extend beyond the time and training of your resources. You will need to find funds to pay students or professionals to collaboratively develop your site. You can hire trained students from the Mason Media Lab. These students have been trained on Mason compatible systems and software. They are familiar with the university web standards and web architecture.
