Human Resources/Payroll System Training
Review how to input hiring transactions using Banner. One workshop will focus on
hiring adjuncts, grad assistants and miscellaneous pays, and the other will focus on
hiring wage and work-study employees.

Finance System Training
Banner Finance Self Service Training -
This hands-on class will provide an overview of the Banner Finance system including
the new chart of accounts and the reports produced by the system. Participants will learn
how to access and interpret budget information using the new daily online financial
reports and the Monthly Financial Reports.
This class is required for those employees who need to access the system and
view reports on-line in order to manage their budgets, compare budgeted to actual amounts,
and reconcile accounts.

Banner Finance Tips and Tricks Level II Training -
These classes are open to anyone that has already attended the required Banner Finance
Self Service training classes. Presented by the Fiscal Services training office, these
classes will provide refresher training as well as more advanced training and tips on
reading the reports. Classes specifically for grant training will also have
representation from the Office of Sponsored Programs. Participants will have the
opportunity to access their own reports to receive individual assistance.

Prerequisites:
- Attended a Banner Finance Self Service training class.
- Participants must have received a GMU ID number (G number) and have successfully
logged on the system before coming to this class. Please bring your GMU ID number
(G number) and PIN so your questions can be answered.
Student System Training
Employees who need access to Internet Native Banner (INB) to view student data may
sign up for classes in Basic Navigation through the IT Training website,
http://ittraining.irc.gmu.edu/search.cfm.
Select workshop category "INBT-Internet Native Banner Training." This class and a s
igned Confidentiality Statement are required for all INB users prior to being given
