The Assistive Technology Initiative provides the following services:

• Informal Assistive Technology assessments for University employees and students with disabilities covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
• Training for ATI clients on recommended adapted techniques, software, and/or devices.
• Creation of Accessible text
• Technical Support and training to the University community related to compliance with accessibility standards specified under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, including web accessibility.
• Training and technical resources for University employees who support computer technology at GMU.
• Assistive Technology Lab located in Thompson Hall, room 221
