Web Accessibility Standards are measurable and in most cases
easy to implement.
George Mason University is a state school that receives
federal flow-through money. Therefore official Mason web sites should
be accessible in accordance with Section 508. In addition, if students
are required to access the web for class assignments, the websites they
access must be accessible. If it is not possible to make the sites
accessible then the information on that website must be provided in an
alternative accessible format. (In accordance with the American's with
Disabilities Act).
