Last Call for Alumni Award Nominations For
more than 30 years, the Alumni Association has honored individuals who
have enhanced Mason’s reputation through their outstanding
achievements. Please nominate someone you know who is worthy of
recognition for the Alumnus of the Year Award or the Alumni Service
Award. Nominations are also sought for the Faculty Member of the Year
Award. The deadline for submissions is February 11, 2008. |

Mason Rocks: Homecoming 2008 Homecoming 2008 is almost here. Gather your friends and family and join the fun by celebrating MASON ROCKS on Saturday, February 16. Special Homecoming events for alumni include a Faculty/Staff Alumni Reception, a Beer Tasting, and a Student Leader Alumni Reception. Mason Participates in National Teach-in on Climate Change To educate America's students and citizens about the far-reaching and irreversible impacts of global warming, Mason will participate in a nationwide teach-in on climate change sponsored by Focus the Nation. Forensics Team Wins National Competition For the first time, Mason's Forensics Team won the competition on both days of the Hell Froze Over National Invitational Forensics Tournament held at the University of Texas at Austin, Jan. 12-13. More than 1,000 entries competed for top honors. Nine of the top 10 teams in the nation, as well as dozens more, competed for the coveted title.Read More » |

Mason Hall of Famer Named Head Coach of MLS Chicago Fire Denis Hamlett, a George Mason graduate and a member of the Patriots' Men's Soccer Hall of Fame, was hired as the head coach of Major League Soccer's (MLS) Chicago Fire, the team announced on Friday evening.
