Mason Gear Is Now on Sale at Champs March 1, 2005 After an exhaustive letter writing campaign from various units at the university, Champs sporting goods stores will now carry George Mason University merchandise! The Alumni Association partnered with Athletics and Student Government to encourage area retailers to sell Mason merchandise. They lobbied several retailers about the increasing demand of Mason gear that extends beyond the university and its bookstore. Cathy Lemmon, alumni association president, was more than pleased to see that an area retailer recognized Mason's impact on the region. "This is a great opportunity for faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the university to purchase Mason apparel and show their school pride," she said.
