101 Elementary Italian I (3:3:1). Designed for students with
no prior knowledge of Italian. Introduction to Italian, including elements of
grammar, vocabulary, oral skills, listening comprehension, and reading. Lab work
required.
102 Elementary Italian II (3:3:1). Prerequisite: ITAL
101 or permission of instructor. Continuation of ITAL 101. Lab work required.
201 Intermediate Italian I (3:3:1). Prerequisite: ITAL
102 or permission of department. Further development of skills in listening,
speaking, and writing. ITAL 201 and 202 must be taken in sequence. Lab work required.
202 Intermediate Italian II (3:3:1). Prerequisite ITAL
201 or permission of department. Application of language skills to reading,
composition, and discussion.
