The Mason Festival of the Arts offers performances and events in theater, music, dance, arts initiatives for youth, the visual arts, film and more. Its primary focus is arts education, presented in a cultural atmosphere of professional and community interaction. This annual festival will showcase the best of the arts in the Fairfax – Northern Virginia region while opening a door to the world of arts and culture for our region’s children.
The Festival Mission:
The annual Mason Festival of the Arts will:
- Support and promote arts education through curricular and extracurricular activity;
- Celebrate and explore our region’s cultural diversity through innovative art;
- Encourage intergenerational arts activities and expression;
- Unite professional, community and student artists and arts organizations with the community in a festive, creative environment;
- Recognize the region’s educational and political leaders as supporters of the arts and arts education, and as messengers that a vibrant arts community contributes significantly to the economic and spiritual health of our region and its citizens.
