Speaker Biographies: Julie Christenson

Julie Christensen is Associate Professor of Modern and Classical Languages at George Mason University.  She has her Ph.D. in Slavic Language and Literatures from the University of California at Berkeley.  Areas of early specialization include gender and the literary text.  Subsequent areas of research and publication include the cinema of Russia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Armenia, and, most recently, the cinemas of late Soviet and post-Soviet Central Asia.
