PSCE Seminars Speaker Biographies: Eileen Wickstrom Smith | |||||
|
Eileen Smith is Deputy Director for Eurasia in the Office of the Coordinator of U.S. Assistance to Europe and Eurasia at the State Department. She previously served as the Country Assistance Officer for Central Asia in the same office from July 2001 to August 2004. Prior to the State Department, Eileen worked for USAID in the Office of Transition Initiatives, focusing on Indonesia, East Timor, and the southern Philippines from 1998-2001; in the USAID Central Asia Mission from 1996-1998; and in the Europe and New Independent States Bureau, Democracy and Governance office from 1994-1996. Eileen has a Master's degree in International Affairs from George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Russian from Emory University.
