Elizabeth Quigley wins Exceptional Support Award

The Department of Statistics is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Quigley has won the 2008 Exceptional Support Award at George Mason University. The awards ceremony was held on May 6. Her citation reads:

Although Elizabeth Quigley’s official title is Administrative Assistant III, for the past year Elizabeth has served as office manager, administrative assistant, executive secretary to the Chair and sole staff member of the newly named Department of Statistics. She executes the duties of all these functions with expertise, efficiency and an enormously pleasant demeanor. Elizabeth gladly shares her knowledge and experience with others and leads by example. She frequently goes above and beyond the call of duty, even after she leaves a position. The quality of performance is exceptional and deserved to be recognized.
