The intention of the Anthropology Club is to provide students with resources that may assist them in their exploration of the various fields of anthropology as well as provide avenues of interest that may not be included in their studies but nonetheless pertinent to anthropology.
In addition, the club and this website may serve as a conduit of communication bringing about a greater sense of unity and cohesion to the body of anthropology students and faculty associated with George Mason University-including present students and faculty as well as alumni.

Welcome to the newly revised Anthropology Club website! A big thanks goes out to Eric Lerch for his time and energy spent on this project. We hope that this will become an interactive website-meaning that students and professors alike will take the opportunity to provide feedback, post interesting links to sites that they may frequent and be able to communicate with the rest of the anthropology student/faculty body at George Mason. As you explore the site, please feel free to contribute to its contents either through the message board postings or by sending us an email at elerch@gmu.edu.
In the future, this newsletter section of the Club's opening page will contain information to update students on the events of the anthropology department and highlight any new areas or features that may appear in the site itself. If you have any suggestions about events that the Anthropology Club could take part in or activities that you would like to have planned, please pass that information along to us as well. Some suggestions so far have been: museum visits, special topics open discussions, guest lecturers and dig site visits. Maybe these will stimulate other exciting ideas!
