DESCRIPTION

 

Learn Spanish in one of the most ancient and diverse cities in Spain! Explore the narrow cobble stoned streets of the former Muslim quarter, the Albaycin, wander the passageways of the Alhambra, or enter the white-washed caves of the Gypsies and experience the passion of a flamenco performance. Students will quickly discover Granada, overflowing with historical architectural remnant of an illustrious past, provides the ideal setting for studying Spanish language and culture. Granada's tremendous history and culture transform the city into a veritable extension of the classroom. Its strategic location in Andalusia makes it an excellent hub for exploring southern Spain; its unique geography allows you to go skiing in the Sierra Nevada and sunbathing in the Mediterranean on the same day.

ELIGIBILITY

The program is open to Mason students, non-Mason students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the general public. To obtain credit, students need at least a 2.25 GPA.

Program Fee: Approx. $3,995 ($4,045 for non Mason students) (minimum 15 participants)

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages also offers study abroad scholarships.

Center for Global Education reserves the right to make any necessary changes including adjustments in cost in the event that unforeseen circumstances arise.

CGE reserves the right to raise its program fees in light of currency fluctuations or any other unforeseen circumstances.
