About the Center
Mission Statement
The Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics works to advance and disseminate knowledge about health policy and the health care system, and the ethical issues that emerge in the life sciences, health care, health policy, and clinical research. We carry out our mission by conducting and fostering multidisciplinary research and analysis, sponsoring innovative educational programs (including the Washington Health Policy Institute), serving as a resource to government policy makers and stakeholders, and teaching courses in health policy and ethics.
The Center’s current research and scholarship priorities address issues on aging, chronic illness, long term care, health inequalities, and responsible conduct of research.
