Peace and Interfaith Relations in the Holy Land

CRDC is pleased to welcome Dr. Yehuda Dr. Yehuda StolavStolov, Executive Director of the Jerusalem-based Interfaith Encounter Association, for a presentation on "Peace and Interfaith Relations in the Holy Land" on May 17th, 2006. Dr. Stolov and the Interfaith Enounter Association were together recently awarded the 2006 Prize for Humanity by the Immortal Chaplains Foundation. The Interfaith Encounter Association seeks to promote real coexistence and human peace in the Holy Land and the Middle East through cross-cultural study and inter-religious dialogue. Dr. Stolov will be speaking about his experiences in peacemaking in the Middle East at CRDC on May 17, 2006. The event is open to the public.

Background on Dr. Stolov:

Dr. Yahuda Stolov is Executive Director of the Jerusalem-based Interfaith Encounter Association, formed by a group of concerned longtime interfaith activists in the Summer of 2001, which now includes includes more than 4,000 affiliates from all walks of life in its central circle of activity.

Yehuda Stolov brings together Christian, Jewish and Muslim Israelis and Palestinians for dialogue sessions and weekend seminars about each other's religions. His work facilitates interaction between communities and encourages individuals to confront their own prejudices and fears of the other side. He deems what he calls the "human infrastructure" as the core of any successful peace process. Before founding the Interfaith Encounter Association, Yehuda Stolov participated in other interfaith dialogue organizations in Israel.
