Sana Saeed

Sana SaeedSana Saeed is currently finishing the second year of her master’s degree at the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, at George Mason University. She is doing her master’s thesis on the involvement of Muslim women in the peace movement, politics, and conflict resolution. She is specifically interested in what Islamic, cultural and conflict resolution principles empower Muslim women to become leaders in their countries or communities. She has lectured at the Green Festival in Washington D.C. on Muslim women in the peace movement. She has also been a featured panelist at the Salam Institute for Peace and Justice Annual Conference, in Washington D.C. and the University of Massachusetts Conflict Studies Conference, in Boston MA. Saeed is actively involved at the university, serving as director of two student organizations, the University Dispute Resolution Project, and the Middle East Working Group.
