Motivation


The Self-Development Center provides a media library of personal growth and academic skills programs available to students, faculty, and staff at George Mason University. Media programs may be used in the Self-Develoipment Center during the hours the Center is open. Faculty and staff at GMU may check out programs overnight or over a weekend. Students may check out programs to use for classroom or group presentations. These programs are not for sale or rent to persons outside of the University. If the program is marked with an asterisk (*), ask the receptionist for the handout or written materials that accompany it.

A New Attitude: Smart Strategies to Make You a Peak Performer (60 min.)
Learn valuable strategies and techniques that you can use immediately. These are strategies that will let you create and sustain a go-getter attitude. (video)

Les Brown Motivation Series (50 min.*)
A twelve-part series that helps you realize your full potential to achieve your long-term goals as well as succeed in your day-to-day challenges. (audio)
Motivate Yourself for Success (own pace)
Learn various factors that generally motivate people and assess the factors that are important to you. (computer based instruction)
Motivating People Toward Peak Performance (60 min.)
Points out twenty-one of the most powerful, proven methods ever discovered for increasing performance, productivity and output in any organization. (video)
