Ms. Shannon Nieves is a graduate assistant in the Learning Services program in Counseling and Psychological Services. Ms. Nieves graduated from Mason in 2004 with her bachelor’s degree in psychology and communication. She is currently pursing her master’s degree in community agency counseling through the Graduate School of Education. She will graduate in May 2008 and hopes to continue on for her PhD in the fall. She has worked in the Office of Admissions at Mason for the past two years as an admissions counselor/intern recruiting students throughout the Northern Virginia area. She has also lived abroad in Seville, Spain and recently in London, England where she worked in one of the most renowned psychiatric hospitals in the UK. Ms. Nieves is also an extern at The Women’s Center in Vienna, Virginia where she helps adults and children throughout the community with various matters.
