Macroeconomics Preliminary Exams

This is the homepage for the Macroeconomics Preliminary Exams at George Mason University.

Preparation

Please look on the Information Boards outside of Enterpise Hall, Rm. 336 to find out the exam committees. Each of the three professors on the committee will (i) write questions that will appear on the exam and (ii) grade the exams.

Ph.D. Macroeconomics Exam:

In practice, students taking the PhD prelim exam should be familiar with the material in the Macro I & II courses. For additional materials please consult with the appropriate professor.

In practice, students taking the MA prelim exam should be familiar with the material in the Macro Theory course (Econ 615).

Packets containing the prelims from the past six semesters are available outside 336 Enterprise.
