Natural Science Sequence (University & CHSS Requirement):
The University requires 7-8 hrs of Natural Science that need not be in sequence, but CHSS requires 8 hrs of a sequential lab science for BS majors in astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, or physics, such as BIOL 103, 104; CHEM 103, 104, ASTR 111-114, GEOL 101, 102. See the website below for a complete list of approved Lab Science courses.

Global Understanding (University Requirement):
There are many University approved courses that satisfy this requirement, but most Economics majors will choose to satisfy the requirement with one of these courses: ECON 360, 361, 362, 380 or 390 which will also satisfy course requirements in economics.

Information Technology (University and Major Requirement):
The CS department administers an IT 103 proficiency exam for credit. See http://ait.gmu.edu/it103/it103-testout.htm for more info. This exam is sufficient for the Econ dept requirement, but to satisfy University GenEd you need a 1-hr ethics class to complement the exam. CS 105 and PHIL 112 are options.

Synthesis:
ECON 309 satisfies this requirement. See the website below for other courses that also satisfy the requirement.
