REFUND POLICY

Students who want to drop English Language Institute classes must come to the ELI office to fill out a drop form. All or part of their tuition may be refunded depending on when they drop the class(es). A refund schedule is given to each student along with the tuition bill. Refund checks may take four to six weeks to be processed by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Refunds for health insurance premiums are sometimes possible. Students should check with the ELI office. (NOTE: Students with F1 Student Visas are required to study fulltime. Dropping classes will cause the student to be out of status and will result in a cancellation of the student's I20.)

LATE FEES

A late fee of $30 will be charged for late placement testing and late registration. (See calendar for deadlines.)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS REQUESTING FORM I-20

  • In addition to the financial statement, sponsors must also provide a bank statement.
  • A statement from a sponsor stating that he/she will be responsible for all room and board expenses of the student may be substituted for part of the living expense costs.
  • Although applicants may obtain help in filling out application form, it must be signed by the applicant.

(A “For Admission Purpose Only” letter is not acceptable.) If no letter has been provided by that time, the students will have to pay the complete tuition bill him or herself.

CONTINUING STUDENTS
