Prerequisite: LING 326, 520, 521, 581, or 582.

Contact the English Department one semester prior to enrollment. Fieldwork in applied linguistics provides experience working in a language-teaching program or an educational research organization.

A student who wishes to engage in  linguistic fieldwork has a number of  research options. These can be worked out in consultation with one of the linguistics faculty.
