Accelerated Masters Degree in Linguistics


Qualified undergraduates may be admitted to an Accelerated Master's Program and obtain both a B.A. and an M.A. in English: Linguistics. Students admitted to this program may take selected graduate courses during their junior and senior years, and up to six credits of graduate work may be used in partial satisfaction of the requirements for the undergraduate degree. Students admitted into the Accelerated Master's Program must then complete an additional 24 credits to receive the Master's degree. All other Master's degree requirements must be met.


Academically strong undergraduates may apply for acceptance to the Accelerated Master's Program after completing 90 credits and can enroll in graduate courses when they have completed Ling 326. Two letters of recommendation are required. Consult the Director of the Program in Linguistics (steven weinberger) for details.
