Dan Loehr earned his BA in Computer Science from Cornell, and his MS and PhD from Georgetown in Computational Linguistics, with a dissertation on the relationship between gesture and intonation. He manages the Human Language Technology group at The MITRE Corporation, where his research interests include multimodal conversational systems, including tools for analyzing nonverbal behavior. Dan has previously taught linguistics as an adjunct lecturer at Georgetown.
