The prerequisites for upper-division and graduate courses in Spanish are the following:

• Spanish 300 is required for majors and minors in Spanish, and is a prerequisite for Spanish 311, 353, and 359.
• Spanish 311 is required for all majors and minors in Spanish, and is a prerequisite for Spanish 483, 484, 485, and 486.
• Graduate courses are open to graduate students in Spanish only. All other potential students must have the permission of the instructor.
