Activities
Team Development Course
After check-in on the first day, groups will load vans with their gear and make their way to Hemlock Overlook, George Mason University’s Center for Experiential Education. Groups will begin the process of getting to know each other by participating in a team development course, where facilitators will pose challenges to the teams of students. Students will lift, throw, and crawl their way into more effective teams. In addition, each team will take a trip down the infamous zip wire! The team development course is a great way to kick off the week! Please check out Hemlock Overlook by visiting their website.
Kayaking
Based out of Harper’s Ferry, WV, River and Trial Outfitters will guide our groups on this daylong adventure down the beautiful and historic section of the Potomac River. Their guides will teach students basic paddle strokes and safety procedures before entering the water. As students become more comfortable in the kayak, guides will continue to challenge by leading students into some thrilling areas of the river!

Hiking
Day hikes will be planned by trip leaders. Locations include Rocky Gap State Park, Swallow Falls State Park, and Ohiopyle.
