Physical Education

The B.S.Ed Physical Education degree is offered through the Department of Health, Fitness, and Recreation Resources, Graduate School of Education. The program prepares students for the profession of physical education. Students become state certified to teach physical education at early and secondary school levels. Students also receive licensure to instruct health education.

Effective Fall 2000, any new major will be given a BPRE status (pre-PHED) status and must apply for admission into the Physical and Health Education PreK-12 Licensure Program (see link below).
