What is the GMU Employee Assistance Line?
The GMU Employee Assistance Line is for employees to make suggestions for improvements, express concerns and to report fraud, waste and abuse. The Employee Assistance Line is not intended to be a replacement for the State Employee Hotline. The Line is intended to be an additional option for GMU Employees.

When you call the Assistance Line, you will have the choice of leaving a recorded message anytime 24 hours a day or speaking to an investigator, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Suggestions for improvement and other concerns will be referred to an area of the University that can better respond to the issues and implement change when warranted.
All reports of fraud, waste and abuse will be investigated by an Internal Auditor/Investigator. You can remain anonymous, even if you talk directly with an investigator. The investigator will:
1. Assign you a case number to use for future contact.
2. Request that you call the Assistance Line two weeks after your initial call and select option 3 to determine if your case number appears.
3. If your number is listed, additional information is needed and you will be asked to call the hotline between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and press 0 to speak directly with an investigator.
Can I check on the status of my suggestion, concern or report of fraud, waste and abuse?
You may check the status of your suggestion for improvement(s) or concern(s). The investigator will provide you with the status, when it is known.
You will not be able to check the status of reported fraud, waste or abuse. Due to the sensitive nature of these cases, all information must remain confidential.
