Delio E. Gianturco is an Adjunct Professor at GMU. He currently teaches International Financial Institutions and Approaches to International Transactions. He received his M.A. in International Economics from George Washington University in 1967 and is a graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Mr. Gianturco is President of First Washington Associates, an export development and financial consulting firm. Previously he was Vice-Chairman and First Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, Vice President of the International Union of Export Credit and Investment Insurers, Governor of the Foreign Credit Insurance Association, and a financial consultant to the World Bank. Mr Gianturco has had 35 years' experience in export credit, guarantee and insurance management and consulting. While at the U.S. Eximbank, he received the Arthur S. Flemming Award as One of Ten Outstanding Young Men in U.S. Government and the William A. Jump Award for Exemplary Achievement in Public Administration. He was also an adjunct professor of international business at Georgetown University.
