CELLULAR NEUROSCIENCE

Fall 2007
Wednesday, 12:00 - 2:45 pm
Krasnow Institute Lecture Hall (Room 228)

Instructor: Dr. Kim L. Blackwell
Office Location: Krasnow Institute, Room 105
Office Hours: Wed 10:30-11:30 am or by appointment

COURSE DESCRIPTION

An intense overview of cellular neuroscience for graduate students interested in studying how nerve cells integrate and transmit signals, and how behavior emerges from the integrated actions of populations or circuits of nerve cells. The course covers electrical and biochemical properties of single neurons, and electrical and chemical communication between neurons.
