What you always wanted to know about Diffusion MRI of the brain but were afraid to ask Carlo Pierpaoli Section of Tissue Biophysics & Biomimetics, NIH/NICHD/LIMB The talk will provide an overview of the history and methodological underpinnings of diffusion MRI, and its most important applications for studying brain anatomy and function. The main goal of the talk is to provide neurologists and neuroscientists with an understanding of the potential role of diffusion MRI for answering questions in their research, without neglecting to address limitations of the technique. As the title suggests, informal discussion with the audience is warmly welcome.
