Kristine H. McCord rejoined the Admissions Office team in July 2003 as Assistant Dean and Director of Special Programs. She is primarily responsible for admissions and operations of the Intellectual Property and Law and Economics Master of Laws programs, the Juris Master program, and the international exchange programs, while also assisting in the admission of Juris Doctor students. In fall 2004, she taught the Introduction to U.S. Law class to the international master of laws students.

Through increased recruiting and advertising, the enrollment of master’s students increased by 18% for fall 2002. Applications for fall 2003 were 45% ahead of the same point the prior year when Dean McCord returned to the faculty of the law school.

Dean McCord is a 1999 graduate of George Mason University School of Law. At Mason, she was a member of the Women’s Law Association and participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. She received her bachelor of science degree in the Administration of Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina in 1991.
