Kristine H. McCord
rejoined the Admissions Office team in July 2003
as Assistant Dean and Director of Special Programs.
She is primarily responsible for admissions and operations
of the Intellectual Property and Law and Economics
Master of Laws programs, the Juris Master program,
and the international exchange programs, while also
assisting in the admission of Juris Doctor students.
In fall 2004, she taught the Introduction to U.S.
Law class to the international master of laws students.
She previously served as Director of Admissions
for the eight graduate programs of the School of
Public Policy at George Mason University. Through
increased recruiting and advertising, the enrollment
of master’s students increased by 18% for fall
2002. Applications for fall 2003 were 45% ahead of
the same point the prior year when Dean McCord returned
to the faculty of the law school.
Dean McCord is a 1999 graduate of George Mason University
School of Law. At Mason, she was a member of the
Women’s Law Association and participated in
the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. She
received her bachelor of science degree in the Administration
of Criminal Justice from the University of North
Carolina in 1991.
Dean McCord is a member of the Virginia Bar.
