Research Equipment

Cutting edge research like the type conducted at the Center for Applied Proteomics and Molecular Medicine depends completely on the quality of the high-end preperative and analystical instrumentation. The Center has obtained a wide array of high technology equipment for use in the research projects. The Center will continue to add to its capabilities by acquiring the highest caliber instrumentation available on the market today. The major research e quipment at CAPMM consists of the following:

  • Aushon 2470 Protein Microarrayer (alpha unit)
  • Arcturus Veritas Automated Laser Capture Microdissecting System
  • Arcturus Pixcell II Laser Capture Microdissecting System (2 units)
  • DakoCytomation Autostainers (2 units)
  • Kodak IS4000 Imaging Sytem
  • Agilent Technologies 1100 Series Nanoflow HPLC System
  • Agilent Technologies 1100 Series UV/VIS Diode Array HPLC System
  • Groton Biosystems PrinCE High Performance Capillary Electrophoresis System
  • Thermo Finnegan LTQ Linear Ion Trap Mass Spectrometer
  • Perkin Elmer prOTOF MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometer
  • Perkin Elmer JANUS Bioexpress liquid handling robot

CAPMM also collaborates with other research centers in the College of Sciences and the Life Sciences. CAPMM also has access to College of Sciences core equipment located in the Shared Research Instrumentation Facility.
