| Are
research and teaching assistantships available in the
M.S. Biology Program?
Students in the
M.S. Program in Biology may receive research or teaching
assistantships from the Department of Molecular and
Microbiology, or from the Department of Environmental
Science and Policy, or from other departments.
In general, most student support
is awarded on an academic-year basis (i.e. awards made
in the spring for the following academic year) and most
students receive support from the department of their
faculty research advisor.
Students who do not receive either Graduate Research
Assistantships or Graduate Teaching Assistantships may
be eligible for part-time teaching positions.
