INDIVIDUALIZED
SECTION FORMS AND DEADLINES
With the
new Tuition Payment Policy (see Students Accounts website
http://studentaccounts.gmu.edu/),
students should ensure they register for courses before the
first day of each semester.
In conjunction
with this, students also have to pay attention to a departmental
deadline 2 weeks prior to the first day of each semester.
This deadline is the last day to drop off to the Prince William
campus MMB office (4th floor, Occoquan Bldg.) any form that
requires the department chair's signature that is needed—by
the MMB office or by the Registrar’s office—before
one can register for a course. This includes both 1) forms
that require the department chair's signature approval, and
need to be on file before you can register for
a particular course, and 2) courses that themselves require
the department chair's signature approval on a form in
order to register for them.
Courses
that need the department chair’s signature in order
to register for them are most often courses that use an Individualized
Section Form, such as Directed Studies, internships, MS Projects
(798), MS Theses (799), Dissertation Proposal work (998).
(Individualized section forms are found on the Registrar's
website http://registrar.gmu.edu
under "Forms".)
After
the department chair has signed the Individualized Section
form it will be sent to the Registrar’s office and the
student will be notified.
