Dr. John Healey, Keyboard Skills
Status: adjunct professor
Teaching Positions: Keyboard Skills I, Keyboard Skills II, Accompanying

B.M., Truman State University; M.M., Texas Christian University; Ph.D., University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. His principal teachers have been John Owings, Henry Meyer (chamber music) and Frank Weinstock. He has played chamber and solo concerts in America and Europe, including performances of Holocaust composer Viktor Ullmann's piano music in German and Austrian synagogues. While in Europe, he recorded a compact disc of solo piano music by the 20th century Romanian / French composer Henrik Neugeboren. He currently serves on the keyboard faculty of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and as President of the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association. He lives with his wife and son in Alexandria.
