Anthony Maiello, Director of Instrumental Studies
Status: full-time, PMI professor
Teaching Positions: Symphony Orchestra, Conducting II (Instrumental), Chamber Orchestra, Private Music Instruction in Conducting

B.S., M.S., Ithaca College; former chairman of performance, Potsdam College of the State University of New York; former associate conductor, McLean Orchestra; currently one of the country’s leading wind and orchestral conductors. Former Professor of Music and Chairman of Performance at the Crane School of Music, SUNY- Potsdam. Under his direction, the ensembles at Crane and George Mason University have commissioned many new works, made numerous recordings, and have appeared at regional, state, and national conference in the Western Hemisphere. Mr. Maiello currently travels worldwide presenting clinics, lectures, andworkshops, as well as guest conducting and adjudicating numerous music festivals. Conductor of musical activities, Gold Medal Ceremonies, 1980 Winter Olympics, Lake Placid, New York.
