Dr. David Whaley, Horn
Status: PMI professor
Teaching Positions: Private Music Instruction in Horn

M.M., Drake University; D.M.A., University of Illinois. Hornist, National Symphony Orchestra, 30 years. Former principal hornist with the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, Canada. Prior to that appointment, Mr. Whaley was associate professor of music at Amarillo College in Amarillo, Texas and associate professor of music at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, his musical family greatly influenced his early interest in music. When not performing with the National Symphony, Mr. Whaley maintains a private studio throughout the Washington area.
