Beginning in Summer 1998, George Mason University will offer mini-statistics seminars at the College of Nursing and Health Science. These seminars will help the students to learn statistics depending upon their need and their level of knowledge which will help them to excel in the research vital to professional development. Finally the seminars will help the students to learn about systematic data collection, standard data management and analysis of the data.
Objectives
1. Analyze data by applying appropriate statistical procedures.
2. Test hypotheses and interpret statistical results.
3. Emphasize selection, application and computerization of procedures in relation to the level of data and sampling in applied research.
4. Provide practical statistical knowledge to Principal investigators and health care workers.
Schedule
The seminars will be in the form of a one day workshop, one and half days workshop, two days workshop, and three days workshops.
Eligibility
These seminars are open to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students, faculty members, educators, nurses, and government and corporate representatives.

Winter: Dec 15, 1998 - Jan 15, 1999
Class Schedule
All Classes will be held every week. They will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays depending upon the length of the classes.

* Hands on experience in high tech computer labs.
Class-Size
5-10 students for each workshop.
*On site training is available if required, for a minimum group size of 10.
