Graduate Students and Community Members
Procedure for Application

1. Submit a Letter of Intent to Caryl Welsh by Tuesday, March 18. Your Letter of Intent should include:
• Your Name
• Your Address
• Phone Number
• Email Address
• Unofficial Transcript
• Your student or community status
• Or, you can print out and submit an Intent to Join form:
  • Graduate (Master's or Doctorate) Students
  • Community Leaders
2. Letter of Intent may be emailed to Caryl at cwelsh@gmu.edu or faxed to 703-993-1943, attn:
   Caryl Welsh.
3. Your Letter of Intent will be reviewed and your information will be entered into Sigma Theta Tau's national database. You will then receive a formal invitation from the National Office with instructions on how to register online, pay dues, purchase jewelry, etc. Notification will occur after April 1st.
4. You will also receive from the National office a formal invitation to the Induction Ceremony, which will take place on April 27, 2008, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Dewberry Hall, Johnson CenterGeorge Mason University (Fairfax Campus).

Undergraduate Students
Procedure for Application

1. Undergraduate students who are eligible for membership (top 35% of the class based on GPA) will be identified by the Faculty Counselors. Their names will be entered into the Sigma Theta Tau International database.
2. Eligible students will  receive a formal invitation  to membership with instructions on how to register online, pay dues, purchase jewelry, etc.
   
3. Students will also receive  a formal invitation to the Induction Ceremony, which will take place on April 27, 2008, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Dewberry Hall, Johnson Center, George Mason University (Fairfax Campus).
