At OLLI,
you'll find no homework,
no exams, no required college degree, no age threshold (and no academic
credits)—just learning for the pure joy of learning, in classes held
between
9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, only on weekdays. One annual fee covers the next
four
class terms (eight weeks long in the spring and
fall, six weeks in the summer, and four weeks in the winter). You can
enroll in as many courses and special events as you
want, subject only to class-size limits.
Classes meet at
Tallwood and at our satellite locations at
Lake Anne Plaza in Reston, Virginia, and in Loudoun
County Virginia. Subject areas
include art, music, drama, economics, finance, government, history,
current events, international studies, languages, literature, writing,
philosophy, religion, science and technology. The OLLI experience
also includes informal and scheduled social activities, trips and
performances, and special-interest discussion groups. We offer a welcoming
atmosphere where you can enjoy learning with active, interesting
friends and colleagues who are living fully in their retirement years.
Whether
you are one of the more than 750 current OLLI members or someone
interested in joining the organization, you'll find a wealth of
information on this Website. Please explore our site at your leisure.
Thank you for visiting!
