VI. Discussion
Items
A. Joint degree
programs
Stearns requested an update of all 311 and joint degree programs from
all units. Which joint programs currently exist, which are being contemplated,
which are in the process of being created and their status, and which
have been considered and rejected. Please get that information to him
by the end of the first week in May.
B. Admission and
new student fee structure, and disposition for graduate programs
Fortino asked for an update on tuition and fee hikes, and how much of
that will actually be seen by graduate programs. Stearns answered that
tuition is being raised starting with Summer and that tuition will be
the same in the Fall. There is a "new" graduate fee of $60,
$40 of which goes to the unit. It is "new" because it has been
authorized for some time and is in the Catalog, but has never been collected
until now.
