2007 Graduate Psychology Orientation

 
                You are cordially invited to attend the Psychology Department annual Graduate Student Orientation on Thursday, August 23, 2007 from 11am - 3:00pm in the George W. Johnson Cinema. A tentative schedule of activities is as follows:
 
11:00 - 12:00   Faculty, Staff & All Ph.D., M.A. and School/CAGS students (JC Cinema, Ground Floor)
                                         Welcome remarks from Dr. Deborah Boehm-Davis, Psychology Department Chair.
                                          Introduction of faculty, staff and new students.                    
 
12:00 - 1:00     Lunch (JC Room B, C, D, E, F & G; Third Floor)
                                         Pictures and informal introductions. Feel free to lunch in the rooms assigned below.
 
1:00 - 2:00       Faculty and PhD, MA, and School/CAGS students, please report to the following rooms:
                                         New and Returning Clinical - Room B, Third Floor
                                         New and Returning IO & HFAC - Room C, Third Floor
                                         New and Returning Biopsychology - Room D, Third Floor
                                         New and Returning Applied Developmental - Room E, Third Floor
                                         New and Returning School/CAGS - Room F, Third Floor
 
2:00 - 3:00      Dissertation Workshop and Q/A Session (All continuing doctoral students are welcome to attend)
                                        Information session on dissertation policies and procedures -Room D, Third Floor;
                                        Dr. Jerome Short and Ms. Darby Wiggins will be hosting.
 
2:00 - 3:00      PSYC 300 TA Workshop with Dr. Patricia Wanschurra - Room B, Third Floor
 
2:00 - 3:00      PSYC 301 TA Workshop with Dr. Linda Chrosniak - Room C, Third Floor
 
 
                Please RSVP to Darby L. Wiggins by Monday, August 13, 2007. Additionally, please indicate if you plan to attend any of the workshops. For maps, directions and parking information please click HERE.
 
                Beginning at 4:30pm in the Performing Arts Center, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences will conduct their Graduate Orientation. We strongly encourage you to attend and take advantage of the information and services that will be provided.
 

† HF-MA students, should proceed to the ARCH Lab (Room 2072 DKH) at 2pm for additional program information.

 

‡ PSYC 300/301 TA workshops are reserved for those students with teaching assignments in these courses

 

Current students are urged to attend and help us welcome the new students. Lunch will NOT be provided if you fail to RSVP.
