| The CVA lab is committed to training
graduate and undergraduate students in the process of conducting psychological
research. Each year our lab maintains an active graduate and undergraduate
population of research assistants. Further, in addition to participating
in ongoing research projects, our lab affords students the ability to pursue
their own research interests. Over the past several years, we have supervised
dissertation research for students in the clinical program and honors theses
for undergraduate students in the psychology honors program. In addition,
most students have conducted their own research under the supervision of
the lab. |

|
| As part of the CVA lab students
receive training in conducting experiments, professional writing in psychology,
data entry and analysis, constructing conference presentations, and completing
human subjects review applications. Further, our weekly lab meetings
maintain collaborative and instructional dialogues about current research. |
|
| If you are interested in joining
us in our research pursuits, please contact
John
Riskind via email (by clicking on his name). We ask that undergraduate
students commit at least 2 semesters of time to the lab and we offer independent
study credits for interested students. |
