The Systems Engineering and Operations
Research Department at George Mason University is interdisciplinary, drawing from
engineering, computer science, operations research, psychology, and economics. The core
systems engineering courses tie these diverse threads together to provide a global
understanding of how individual engineering disciplines fit into the development of
complex, large scale systems. Students gain technical depth by selecting a sequence of
technical electives that constitute a concentration track. The senior design project
provides hands-on experience by having the students use the systems engineering tools,
methods and techniques they learned in the program. Location: Science and Technology Building II, Room 111 Phone: (703) 993-1670 The School of
Information and Technology (SITE) at George Mason University is primarily concerned
with study areas that involve the integration of the information basis for modern
engineering together with the more conventional physical and materials science basis. The
careful integration of these areas results in a unique academic experience for highly
motivated students. IT&E is the parent school of the Systems Engineering Department. |
