Marshall S. Ferrin is a highly qualified international business development professional who has worked extensively with information technology companies, U.S. and foreign governments and trade associations for international marketing companies and business development in the U.S., Europe, Japan, the Middle East, and Africa.

As Director of International Business Development at the Mason Enterprise Center, Mr. Ferrin has secured international business development projects from the government of Japan, the government of Saarland, Germany, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and the Commonwealth of Virginia. These projects prepare U.S. information technology and biotechnology companies to enter international markets and obtain business connections in target companies for to expand their operations. Mr. Ferrin also provides management and business development leadership for the Mason Enterprise Center's International Business Accelerator, one of only three multinational incubators in the U.S. that is exclusively designed to assist both non-U.S. companies and American firms forge successful business partnerships.

Before coming to the George Mason School of Public Policy, Mr. Ferrin spent 20 years managing international trade development projects on behalf of the U.S. Small Business Administration, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the European Union. As a corporate executive, Mr. Ferrin successfully expanded global markets for long-distance telecommunications services and Voice Over the Internet Protocol Internet telephony software of two U.S. start-up companies. He has established and delivered management, marketing, procurement and management accounting training programs to entrepreneurs and small business managers and staff for private enterprises and public institutions in development companies.

Mr. Ferrin holds a degree in international affairs and economics from the School of International Service at the American University.
