Jody Keenan is the Director of Virginia Small Business Development Centers Network hosted by the Mason Enterprise Center of George Mason University. The Virginia SBDC network is the most extensive business development program in the Commonwealth. It is an organization of 29 local SBDCs across Virginia providing professional business counseling, training and information resources to help grow and strengthen Virginia businesses. The network is a strategic alliance between the U.S. Small Business Administration, Mason Enterprise Center of George Mason University, and educational institutions, chambers of commerce and economic development organizations across Virginia.
Ms. Keenan has been with the Mason Enterprise Center since 1996. Prior to assuming the position of Director of the Virginia SBDCs, she was the Director of the Northern Virginia Small Business Development Center overseeing four local SBDCs. Previously, she was the Deputy Director of Economic Development in Chester County, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia where she was responsible for implementing the county economic development plan, assisting companies locate and expand in the county and, representing the county in regional business development networks.
Ms. Keenan earned her MBA at LaSalle University in Philadelphia and she earned a B.S. degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
