Associate Professor of Government and Politics in the Department of Public and International Affairs. Ph.D.: State University of New York at Buffalo, 1976, in Political Science and Psychology.

Professor Mahler teaches organization theory and behavior, research methods, and political ideologies. She publishes in the areas of digital public management, organizational learning, culture and ideologies of the administrative state. She is the author of Organizational Learning at NASA: The Challenger and the Columbia Accidents and co-author of Organization Theory: A Public Perspective.
